Types Of Kettlebells

There are four main types of kettlebells.
  • Solid cast iron Russian Kettlebells that are different sizes depending on the weight. These are the most popular kettlebell throughout the world and are ideal for general fitness and sport training

  • Girevoy Sport Steel Kettlebells which are all the same dimensions for kettlebell competitions but are filled with a different amount of weight.

  • Adjustable plate loading kettlebells have different sized weight plates that when placed together with the smallest plates on the outside and when attached together via a handle appear like a kettlebell in shape. Can be awkward to use and time consuming to change weight.Adjustable stacked bells are also popular for exercises where the kettlebell's weight puts a balance challenge on the user.
    Another
advantage of the adjustable kettlebell is its versatility. Adjustable kettlebell designs allow users to work out with just one free weight unit, as opposed to several. This makes a lot of sense for those who have to take their training tools with them wherever they go. It also means more room in the gym, where traditional progressive weight sets of fitness tools take up a lot of shelf room.

  • Shot Loaded Kettlebells, similar to the Girevoy Sport kettlebells in that they are hollow, but with these you can adjust the weight by adding more or less lead shot.
